The study involved the direct participation of Dr. Irene Rocha, Exploration Director of the company, together with a multidisciplinary technical team dedicated to applying innovative methods of seismic inversion and characterisation to identify new areas with exploration potential.
The work combined seismic data, well information and rock analysis to enable a better assessment of reservoir characteristics, such as rock type and porosity, as well as the presence of layers that can retain hydrocarbons in the subsurface.
The application of advanced seismic analysis methods helped to improve the understanding of how geological formations are distributed at depth, reducing uncertainties and supporting the selection of future drilling locations.
For Etu Energias, this study contributes to safer and more efficient exploration, based on the company’s technical expertise and the continuous development of its professionals.
By strengthening its capacity to study the subsurface, Etu Energias reinforces its role as a national operator committed to producing energy for the growth of Angola, while promoting sound technical practices and responsible exploration.
