The first activity, the **Workshop on Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility**, took place on October 17 at the Soyo Municipal Administration Auditorium. The event provided a platform for sharing knowledge and reflecting on the importance of adopting responsible and sustainable behaviors, bringing together institutional representatives, partners from the oil sector, and local organizations.
During the workshop, Etu Energias emphasized the importance of raising public awareness about marine pollution and its impacts on wildlife, flora, and coastal communities. Etu Energias’ collaborator, **Victória Muachendo**, delivered a presentation on *“Marine Pollution and Its Impacts on Wildlife, Flora, and Communities,”* highlighting the urgency of adopting preventive practices and environmental mitigation measures ahead of the beach cleanup activity.
On the following day, **October 18**, the **Beach Cleanup Campaign** took place, with actions carried out at Praia dos Pobres, Golden Triangle Beach (Kwanda), and along the riverbank near the city’s main roundabout. The initiative aimed to preserve the coastal ecosystem and contribute to the conservation of marine species through the joint mobilization of employees, partners, and community members.
Through these actions, Etu Energias strengthened cooperation between oil sector companies and local entities, promoting a culture of environmental responsibility and collective commitment to sustainable development.
This initiative reflects the company’s purpose of **producing energy for Angola’s growth**, while simultaneously promoting concrete actions for environmental protection and the empowerment of the communities where it operates.
