Wishing you a Happy New Year 2026!
I would like to thank you all for the commitment and dedication shown throughout 2025 — a particularly special year in which ETU proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary and was awarded the Golden Lion at FILDA (Oil & Gas), reflecting the strength of our brand and our journey.
In 2025, we achieved the best safety performance in our history and made decisive progress in exploration, with the launch of the onshore program in Lower Congo and the success of the PKBB well in Block 14 (operated by Chevron). We reactivated strategic assets such as Sulele Sul in B2/05, achieved first oil in the Begonia project (operated by TotalEnergies), expanded our downstream activities, strengthened renewable energies, and reached unprecedented financial milestones for a private energy company in Angola (the first commercial paper issued by an independent Angolan company). Above all, we continued to invest in our people and their development.
At the start of 2026, the market presents a context of falling oil prices and high volatility, which will require more innovative ideas and new solutions from us: greater focus on efficiency, cost reduction, operational discipline, selectivity in investments, and excellence in execution—without ever compromising the safety of our people and assets.
Our priorities for 2026 are clear: strengthen our incident response capability; launch the career and leadership development plan; advance exploration in the FST and CONs; progress with the Espadarte project and the redevelopment of B2/05; expand downstream activities, including the ETU lubricants factory; launch Emagrece 2.0; and prepare the issuance of our first public bonds.
What do we expect from you in 2026?
ETU has come this far thanks to its people. With focus, team spirit, and responsibility, I am confident that we will continue to build an even stronger future. Commitment is the key value for 2026—this is the year to truly wear the jersey.
